The Basic Nutrition Water
Water is just an awesome substance. For an easier and faster way to look and feeling healthier - and younger - while prolonging your lifespan, is to start drinking a lot of water and/or eat more water-rich foods (fruits and vegetables that have a high water content.)The human body contains about 70% water. Most of the vital processes of our body need water. It is essential to keep it that way. If you reach for water or juice only if you are thirsty, it's usually too late.
Most people are not drinking enough water and are semidehydrated. Your body cannot work at its optimum level without water.
What will happen if you do not drink enough water?
All the things mentioned above that water helps keep in balance and lubricated are affected when you do not drink enough water. You will not feel as well as you possibly could, your body does not have what it requires for good health and so your health falls.
Here is one instance of what happen: When you do not drink enough water throughout the day, your body just does not have the required fluid and occasionally tries to extract it from wherever it can and distribute it to the places that need it the most. One place that water is drew from is your digestive system. When you do not drink enough water it leads to constipation.
As we all know, constipation is not a good thing. Besides the uncomfortable, sick feeling there are other things breaking down. Pass through time take longer and some of the toxins and poisons dumped into the digestive system start to recirculate.
As these toxins build up they build up in your tissues causing health problem. The kidneys separate water from the waste in the blood, so there's a strain put on them when toxicity levels increase. Beside that the Liver then has quite a bit more work to do, trying to detoxify the system.
Quality drinking water is the most important fluid you can consume for good health. You should always try to drink one quart of water for every 50 pounds of body weight. So if you weighed 150 pounds, then you would need to drink 3 quarts of water a day. It is also better if a person will actually measure the required water out, into a container each day. Otherwise most people will forget how much water they did drink. Therefore they generally do not drink sufficient water for the day.
Keep yourself hydrated on a regular basis. And, increase your fluid intake on warm days, or when you are more active than normal. If water is not the easiest thing for you to drink by itself you could add a wedge of lemon in it.
Yes, other drinks count as fluids, but your body must do more processing to get to the water. If you drink regular juices, be aware of the sugar content and calorie count, some of them are preposterously high.
You can also snack on water rich fruits and vegetables throughout the day. Most citrus fruits (oranges, tangerines, etc.), melons (cantaloupe, honeydew, etc.) are great for this. Plus, they have the added benefit of powerful nutrients.
